another thought…

My adult beg ballet/creative movement class is also a great addition to you yoginis and pilates gals….It’s so good for you to move big in the space and to be 3 dimensional. Yoga & pilates can sort of put us in this very linear mind set as our space is so limited…reformer or yoga mat..small refined linear spaces…

adult beginning ballet & pilates in venice, CA

I was recently talking with my friend after my adult beginning ballet & creative movement class at electric lodge….she said that she really enjoyed the class and at first she was afraid to come because of the word ballet! Come out and dance everyone! The class is fun and full of life. Sometimes, it’s a little challenging but you are all smart women and a little bit of challenge is good for the brain and the body! So email me about schedule updates because I have a few shows coming up and plan to dance on Tuesday mornings at Electric Lodge in Venice from 9:30-10:30 am. The class is a bargain at $11…we do some yoga, pilates, experiential anatomy..free dance and combinations. Hope to see you there!

Luke is currently building the sound track for the performance.   I’ve been recording found sounds on site and bringing them to his recording studio where he manipulates them and layers them.   I’m going to do the sound “merce cunningham” style where the dancers won’t have an opportunity to rehearse with the music prior to the performance.  We’ve also been talking about some music that I’ve been working with in the studio recently as inspiration.   The music is going to be pretty abstract.  I don’t want it to take over the environment too much.  There will be times when it will be inaudible.
